Therapy is not one-size-fits-all. Here we provide a brief overview of services provided. Please include the service you are interested in in your consultation call, email, or waitlist message.
Walk and Talk Therapy
Walk and Talk therapy is a movement-based therapeutic approach. The familiarity of going on a walk, paired with an attuned therapist, can empower you to explore parts of your past with a sense of ease. Sessions take place on a paved, well-lit path, with multiple benches for respite. Walk & Talk Sessions are tailored to alleviate stress, so if bringing your dog or walking with your baby in a stroller helps, they are more than welcome to join. Not a walker but would still enjoy outdoor therapy? We can bring a blanket, a lawn chair, or utilize the many benches at the park.
Drama therapy is an active and experiential therapy. It is a helpful offering for those exploring trauma and negative experiences. Drama therapy invites us to get clear about deeply rooted fears, needs, drives and desires through a creative medium. It is an excellent service for over-thinkers and those who have "felt stuck" in traditional talk therapy approaches.
Individual therapy provides you with an opportunity to finally have time for yourself and your mental health. It can be a place to explore anxiety, trauma, and other challenges you are facing in your life without judgement. Individual therapy is an effective way to practice vulnerability, setting boundaries, and regulating anxieties with a curious and knowledgeable therapist.
Couples therapy is an invaluable service for any couple facing shared trauma, shared grief, communication issues, or needing to practice co-regulation. Our therapists are committed to providing a warm and non-judgmental environment, while also challenging and gently guiding couples to a healthier and more fulfilling relationship.
Therapy for Children
At Open Haus Therapy, we specialize in providing creative arts therapy for children to help them work through difficult emotions. Through a combination of drama, art, music, and other creative activities, our therapists help kids learn how to recognize and process their feelings, and how to regulate big emotions. We also use play, story, and movement to help children express themselves when they are feeling anxious or overwhelmed. Our approach is both supportive and empowering, and we strive to provide a safe and nurturing environment for every child.
